ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE
BDA is an international non-profit organization that trains, equips, certifies, and provides the necessary scientific and business support for Ecopreneurs (entrepreneurs in professional agri-business with environmental and sustainable development best practices) to succeed in Africa’s emerging agricultural and botanical industry.
Our Breakthrough Opportunity...To Formalize Africa’s Botanical/Agricultural Economy
Africa is teeming with an extraordinary abundance and diversity of botanical resources which until now have been underutilized due to the fact that they grow in the wild and subsistence farmers cannot meet the demanding quality control and manufacturing requirements.
There is a global market for these plants for use in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmetic industries, however Africa currently has poor quality control in an industry where international protocols are norms are strict with very high standards for semi-finished and finished products.
The BDA Foundation through its visionary leadership and guidance is building Africa’s equitable botanical supply chain and creating a world-class integrated business ecosystem that will change the future of Africa.
HOW WE WORK
BDA Foundation, headquartered in Canada, operates in Africa through BDA’s branches which are legally recognized by national African governments. Initially operating in DRC, BDA’s programs are now rapidly expanding into additional countries throughout the African continent.
